1. Booking & Payment
- Customers may reserve a spot without immediate payment.
- Full payment must be completed before the start of the tour.
- Prices are listed in euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes.
- All bookings are subject to confirmation by Lapland Explorers Oy.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the tour start time are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable.
- If Lapland Explorers cancels the tour due to unsafe weather or poor Aurora conditions, you will receive a full refund or may reschedule, subject to availability. Aurora Guarantee:

- If the Northern Lights are not visible during your tour despite our guide’s best efforts, we will refund your tour fee in full.
- Guests may choose to contribute a voluntary fee to cover base expenses (e.g. fuel, snacks), but this is optional.
3. Tour Conditions
- Tour duration may vary from 2 to 10 hours depending on Aurora activity and weather.
- Departure time ranges between 17:00 and 21:00, determined on the day to maximize Aurora visibility.
- Itinerary and stops are flexible and may change based on safety, weather, and Aurora forecasts.
4. Pickup & Participation
- Pickup is included for accommodations within 10 km of Rovaniemi Center.
- The tour is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and are only allowed upon prior approval.
- Participants must be in adequate physical condition for light outdoor walking and standing in cold temperatures.
5. Required Clothing & Equipment
Participants are responsible for bringing appropriate winter clothing, including:
- Insulated jacket and trousers
- Hat, gloves, thermal layers
- Snow boots or sturdy footwear
Failure to dress appropriately may result in refusal of participation without refund.
6. Inclusions
Your tour includes:
- Expert English- and Finnish-speaking guide
- Transport to and from Rovaniemi
- Hot drinks and traditional snacks
- Professional Aurora photography
- Personalized experience in a small group setting
7. Exclusions
The tour price does not include travel insurance, meals (beyond snacks), or additional activities not specified.
8. Limitation of Liability
Lapland Explorers is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by:
- Weather or natural occurrences
- Missed pickup due to inaccurate information
- Participant negligence or failure to follow guide instructions
- Equipment malfunction or third-party service interruptions
Participation is at your own risk. We recommend you carry personal travel insurance.
9. Force Majeure
Lapland Explorers is not responsible for tour disruptions or cancellations due to unforeseen events such as:
- Natural disasters
- Strikes or transportation failures
- Government restrictions or emergency declarations
